Touch-It Virtual Keyboard Version 4.9.2
Advance

Manage some advance features.

Enable Ctrl+Alt+Del : Enable or disable the Secure attention sequence.

Enable key repetition : Select whether the key must keep sending the keystroke while it is kept down. Disable it if you experience multiple characters sent on slow PCs or when using terminal services.

Lock down keys : Windows 7 and multi touch only. Lock down control keys (Shift, CTRL, etc.) until another key is pressed.

Show exception : For internal use only, display a message box on unmanaged errors.

Diacritics popus : Display a popup window (iOS like) with diacritics when pressing and holding a character key.

Window style : Defines how the internal creation of the windows is managed. Layer is a bit slower than Normal but allows transparency to the desktop background and shadows effects. Note that some remote softwares are not able to manage Layered windows.
Set this field to Normal (Disable alpha blending) if the keyboard flickers with 3rd party applications. (Especially in a terminal server session)

Touchscreens may be set to only manage one mouse event (either button up or down). Mouse emulation adjusts the Touch-It behavior to the touchscreen.

Touch-It can manage clicks by different manner based on your needs:

  • Standard : Clicks are managed at the window level like any other Windows applications. This mode is not compatible with Korean keyboard.
  • Advanced :
  • is a special Touch-It improvement which keeps the cursor from moving when taping on the keyboard. The primary goal is for people owning two monitors and working with CAD. A touchscreen displays the keyboard with shortcuts while the second monitor holds the work area. The mouse cursor does not need to be moved back and forth.
  • Multi-touch :
  • is for Windows 7 or above with multi-touch compatible hardware. This mode makes typing long text a lot more fluent and error free.
Multi-touch is the default setting. If multi-touch is not supported, Advanced is used insteed.

Repaint text delay : Show the key pressed for some time when the key is released.

Send text delay : Send keystrokes more slowly. Increase this value if the 3rd party application does not receive all keystrokes. (Such as games)

Tab focus timeout. [TABFOCUS] is used to guarantee that the focus has moved to the next field before sending keystrokes. The timeout ensures that the keyboard doesn't go in an infinite loop if no other field can be selected.

N click interval : Defines the idle time before the event is fired when using Windows message, DLL callback or Automation keys.

Focus change defines the time a field must be focused before a keyboard auto-open. See Focus change for more info.

Lock activation keeps other windows from activating (gaining the focus) in case of accidental tapes.
